I love coming here, I live in Brentwood and If i am ever nearby I always stop by here. Their chicken tikka masala is really good, some of the best I have ever had in Los Angeles. Also their tandoori chicken is absolutely on point. I just wish more people knew about this place since it is a hidden gem when it comes to indian cuisine.

I decided to upgrade my assessment , mainly because the food is so good . The owner is down in the mouth , but his assistant is nicer. There's a Himalayan influence in the food , which softens the palette. I'd definitely recommend this restaurant!!

It was my first time trying this place. I was really impressed by the quality of food. They have variety of options to choose from, i decided to try their chicken chilli momo, samosas, bhindi masala and lamb korma. All of them were really flavorful and well seasoned. I will definitely go back and try their other foods. I saw they have combo special in the morning. I want to try that and other foods as well. If you live nearby Alhambra and San Gabriel, you should definitely give this place a shot.

Do not sleep on this place! The food was amazing for the price, and the service was top tier. The market was also cool! I bought a hair oil from India!

I am always on the lookout for Indian markets in the area. I actually stopped into this one just after driving by - did not know it was there. The market is very clean and well stocked. And prices were marked on most items, which I do not usually see at Indian markets. The sweets case was completely blocked by a shelf of snacks - odd placement, so I did not end up buying sweets. The cafe or restaurant side is also very spacious and clean for eat in or take out. I ordered food to go. It is an interesting menu, with some Indo Chinese options and I believe the menu listed Mt. Everest options, but I could be wrong. A lot of Indian staples were there too. The mango lassi was premade. The almost neon orange color was not appealing to me. The lassi was a bit thin consistency (not yogurt like) to me but the taste was good. It was not overly sweet. I like a sweet and tart taste to them. Chaat is one of my favorite things. I ordered the dahi puri and it was served like a pani puri, but with a thinned out yogurt sauce to pour into the shells. The sauce was separate than the puris with filling to keep them crunchy. However they did soften by the time I got them home. It would probably be best to pack all components separately. The flavor was great - the potatoes and chick peas were cooked perfectly. Not too mushy, and seasonings were spot on. The garlic naan was great. I tried the goat curry, which was cooked on the bone (more authentic). It was good, but a bit different than what I am used to. It is probably due to regional differences in the curry gravy. I look forward to trying other dishes over time. Service was outstanding. Such a pleasant man behind the counter and he offered me ice water on a very hot day. I appreciated that very much.

Nice, local, convenient, easy in and out, cool historic building, had all kinds of things I didn't know I needed and liked. Friendly staff. The restaurant in the back was kinda sterile and fluorescent and clinical and unattractive but I guess it's really cheap...

I was craving some Indian food and ordered from Punjab for the first time on 2/15/2024 for lunch through Postmates. I ordered two orders of the following: Non Vegetarian Thaali Combo - $14.99 (price on Postmates as of 2/2024) Includes naan, veggie of the day, dal (lentil), raita (yogurt), and chicken tikka masala -- My husband and I both enjoyed the chicken Tikka masala, which was the star of the show. The dish is made with boneless chicken barbequed in a clay oven and then blended in curry sauces with fresh spices. The masala was rich, creamy and had a sweetness to it. I would def order this again! -- I thought the veggies, lentil and raita were alright. The lentil and lentils had more of a different spice-flavor. The raita (yogurt) was pretty mild and I ate it with the naan. -- Although, the meal comes with regular naan, I paid for the $0.50 garlic naan and boy is the upcharge worth it! The garlic naan was packed with so much flavor. It was delicious. Overall, it was pretty good! I would consider coming back and maybe just ordering the chicken Tikka masala!
